Just called Worldpay technical support - got straight through - problem solved!

Went for a jog - usual limp around the park in shorts - no further ill effects. Man cold takes back seat to huffing and puffing.
Writing #php for the first time in a while. Pain is minimised thanks to the Symfony (sic.) framework - it’s really good.

Barring some issues with the small keyboard, mum gets logged in finds the email and clicks the link to the PPT. !ubuntu #jaunty
Firefox dialog prompts her to “Open with…” . Default option is Oo.org so in no time we’re looking at pictures in slideshow, full screen.
Mum’s verdict on !ubuntu #jaunty? “Piece of cake!”. Succeeds opening PPT where Vista fails. Then we had a laugh with webcam and Cheese.
So, Mum can you get that Powerpoint file in your hotmail open on this eee PC running !ubuntu when you couldn’t on windows vista?
First job is to find Google, where she can search for “hotmail”. So that’s in “firefox web browser” (a bit of help here). !ubuntu #jaunty
Impromptu user testing of !ubuntu #jaunty with my mum. She’s a lifelong Windows user but recently complained she couldn’t open a PPT doc.

Using a sqllite 3 database locally to test import scripts, leaves my proper database intact. Just delete the file when finished! #django

Munging huge XML files #python. Fighting hunger with #tea.
Well some #tea fuelled cranking of our content seems to have brought everything up to date. Lunch, then an afternoon of XML munging. Yum!

Saw a beautiful siskin this morning, displaying at a chaffinch. There’s the sound of a chiff chaff but no red squirrel yet.
Back from a 10 mile walk up Goatfell, the 874 metre high point on Arran.
Just watched two red squirrels fighting over a bird feeder from the window of our B&B. Off out for a walk in the sun. I love Arran.
On the ferry to Arran, pursued by gannets. Very busy and the chips look good.
Just arrived at Glasgow Travelodge. Taxi queue was a bit of a laugh!
