Watching Studio Ghibli’s Cat Returns and notice a snippet of Mahler 1 in the soundtrack.
So full of smoked mackerel. Sitting in Alexandra Park - warm sunshine.
Off to bed after grooming iTunes Library. It’s backing up as I sleep and generally in better shape than poor @FuriousPurpose’s library.
Wow 100 wins in AL East for the Bombers with a victory over Red Sox #MLB
OK then! Maybe a bit of dodgy HTML stripping.
R @FuriousPurpose Antarctica only continent missing a stone pattern in V&A World Beach Project http://bit.ly/Antarctic #dialapenguin
Got a 5-CD Gundula Janowitz box set in the HMV sale - greatest soprano ever - purest tone - no comedy warbling; slender vibrato.
What’s this, Virgin Internets? 10meg Broadband upgrade, without asking? Don’t mind if I do!
r @FuriousPurpose Here’s our video made with artist Sue Lawty about the World Beach Project : http://bit.ly/BeachVideo < in glorious HD!
Feeling perky after a pint of the black stuff. Coffee, that is.
Busy in old museum town today. Earlier the heady scent of incense wafted in from the Brompton Oratory.
I’m still blown away by this 1300 year old treasure trove http://bit.ly/staffshoard The Staffordshire Hoard
This arrabiata is going to give @annakime’s cold a run for its money.
I have two FREE tickets for the LSO at the Barbican 7.30 -tonight - Ravel and Debussy - cheap seats but good sound. Any takers?

And thanks to @burtisdottir for the Staffordshire Hoard links http://bit.ly/staffshoard
Russian basses. Everyone should spend some time in their lives listening to Russian basses.
So mb.internal_encoding was NOT set in php.ini but was defaulting to latin-1 instead of null on ONE of my servers.
mbstring.internal_encoding ISO-8859-1 looks VERY suspicious.
Interesting PHP intermittently returns question marks instead of unicode characters, changes on refresh.
Just completely inhaled my dinner. Does anyone get home from work and NOT feel ravenous? If so, what’s your secret?
RT @V_and_A: I hereby promise to send our 9,000th follower a bumper pack of V&A posters. <- bet it’s @debbie894897xxx - she wanna chat.
Finished recompiling fun with ffmpeg. Now happily reading aac audio. Time for a cup of Assam #tea.
It’s video ticket apocalypse at RBS Web Team Industries GMBH.
Doing a bit of iTunes gardening as @jhbiddle might say. A bit of photo weeding too.
I note GMail on iPhone is now “Push” via MS Exchange. I still don’t understand why you’d want new mail more than once an hour.
Flipping out some mad PHP skillz.
It’s still great to do a full day and get home in time to see my old commuter train just leaving London.
Geek moment: dude reading Code Complete on Tube while I’m listening to Stack Overflow. Coding Horror!
CAN HAZ 4 CORES @ 3.16GHz on mai API server. All you core are belong to us.
r @coudenysj No, you will not end up higher in Google if you put the same keywords in every single tag on a web page. #aucontraire
Time to make tea, do some programming and chew bubblegum. And I’m all out of gum.
Man - just got totally busted “borrowing” some milk. No karma gained from letting people “borrow” mine then. Society, eh?
Tired from having sleep delayed by scratchy, rustling noises under the bedroom floorboards. That was weird.
r @rmorg Just came across these chaps http://bit.ly/4azUJN … WWF seen through the eyes of the V&A. <- Illegal foreign object!
Broke a couple of glasses after getting drenched on the way home. Think I’d swap this for those clear autumnal Northumbrian skies.
I like this record on our beta V&A collections search: Apple iMac G3 http://bit.ly/GHu83 Have a look round!
Downloading the O’Reilly High Performance MySQL book as iPhone App. It has a good appendix on Sphinx search.
Reckon I have a solution for better Sphinx search result ordering using temporary tables prior to indexing… we’ll see…
Glorious day in the borders, back online after weekend in the remote College Valley with nothing but long wave radio. Train delayed.
Looks like V&A collections online beta still working. Has it behaved itself for @waarg & @rmorg ? :)
East coast just beautiful from the train. Got a wave from @annakime ‘s dad on the beach.
…hasn’t seen a cloud since the Scottish border but is picking up news of inclement conditions further south.
Road trip from Sheffield to Bamburgh. Last night reacquainted with Northern Rail - 30 year old bus on tracks.
Motorway services. Good grief.
Angel of the North, magic.
Exploring the perimeter of Bamburgh Castle in ridiculous sunshine. Found Miller’s Nick; a gash in the rock where villagers could access.
Our new search engine showing me a lot of love tonight. I’m counting the milliseconds on response time - not bad for a beta.
Wear a shirt and tie these days and everybody thinks you’re a shop assistant.
Yeah so I somehow declined your invite so I shared folder with you at your mac.com address!
